Everyfind lets you design a search engine for use on a website or for a CD/DVD, MP3 and OGG formatted music files, help systems or may be for your own PC.
Everyfind allows you to design a website search engine. This may be for your website that you are designing or for the contents of a CD/DVD, a MP3/OGG music collection, a help file or for all contents on your PC. The search engine generated will be fast. It is possible to make the engine in one of many languages and can have a nice look and feel. The program uses a range of templates, there are at least 15 of them, to match the look and feel of your site. It takes the insertion of just three HTML tags into a table to integrate it into your web page. The search engine is Java script and thus does not need any server side code to make use of it. The search form can be anywhere in the pages of your site and then the engine need to be called.
The search engine can index whole range of file formats. These include Microsoft Office files, PDF, RTF, audio files: MP3 and OGG. You can manually add any links to any files, usenet groups, ftp resources and even email addresses. The program allows you to control rankings of the links you add. When the site is updated, you can update the database with just a few mouse clicks. Search parameters accept wildcard and Boolean specifications. The search engine generated has a very small code footprint. This tool makes it easy to add a capable search engine capability to web sites and elsewhere.
